silent green Sommerfest: Introducing the Arsenal Filminstitut

The legendary summer and winter festivals at silent green have been a fixture on the Arsenal calendar since their very first edition. In recent years, we’ve taken our children’s programs and workshops on the road there – sometimes to the Kuppelhalle, sometimes to the lawn, and sometimes to our archive rooms. With the opening of the Arsenal cinema on the silent green campus eight weeks ago, we’re delighted to join in the fun and open our doors. Starting at 2 p.m., we’re not just inviting you to the cinema, we’re also taking this opportunity to put all the closely intertwined departments of the Arsenal Filminstitut, now all under one roof, at the heart of the day’s events. Through short films, presentations and discussions, you can get to know us—and we’d love to get to know you. The program is hugely varied and begins at 2pm with a sound workshop for children by and with Eunice Martins. Afterwards, every hour, the cinema, Arsenal Distribution, the archive, the Forum and Forum Expanded will all be introducing themselves. We look forward to seeing you!
